Lot 25, #1005 2nd st- Originally St. Peter's Lutheran Church, built in 1929. Sold in 1964 to The Estevan Alliance Church, today a residence (2017)

#1025- Henry Clay Barbee, Barber, with William Bottling at #512 12th Ave, lived here in 1921. b- Apr 1898 in US, Father Oscar Barbee, mother- Minnie Barbee

#1029 2nd st. - Patricia Brovold lived here, operated a rooming house here.

Lot 24, block 55, #1037 2nd St.- The Beth-Jacob Synagogue was built here in 1927. Per Historical Walking tour Booklet, The Bronfman family donated the Ark to hold the Scrolls. Jewish Synagogue here in 1955, it was sold to the City in 1957. It had to be used as a Public building after that. Lot 1- #1038 2nd St.- 1911- Frank Kay, b- ON, and his wife- Emeline Kay, 2 daughters and a son, plus brother- John Kay and Jonathan Kay also lived here. 1921 Chester and Mary Jane McIlvenna, and son Joseph Fleming McIlvenna family lived here

Lot 5- #1022- Percy Grainger Self, b- Oct 25, 1878 in London, England, Immigrated in 1905, lived here in 1906, with wife, Martha Self, nee Weeks, sons Oscar, Lowell, daughters, Ethel, Hazel, and Fannie. Living with them his mother Fannie (Annie) Self, nee Grainger, age 63, and brother Edwin, age 27, both born in England. Genealogy addition- Father- John Self, Martha's father- Franklin Weeks, mother- Matilda, Snowden (or Snowdan?) Percy and Martha married Nov 6, 1897, Assembly Pres Church, Beaver Dam, Wisconsin, USA 1916 Percy was a soldier at Sewell Camp, Winnipeg. daughters Gertrude and Hilda were added to family in 1916 census. Percy enlisted in WWI in Winnipeg, May 23, 1916., shown as a painter

Lot 6- #1018 2nd St.- Mason L. Clendenan lived here in 1921, owned a farm machinery business at 1119 5th st.

Lot 8- #1010 2nd St.- William Beckel b- Apr 25, 1869, Decorah, Iowa, USA, d- Sept 6, 1937 Hennepin Co. MN, USA,, buried in Glenville, MN, lived here in 1906, with Wife Harriet E. Beckel, b- Glenville, MN, USA, and son Victor Vivian Beckel. Victor enlisted in WWI Nov 29, 1915 in Estevan, b- Jan 29, 1895 in Glenville, MN, USA, shown as a Railroad Surveyor. They also had a son, Robert Judd Beckel, b- June 14,1893, in Glenville, MN, USA. not with the family in 1906. The family arrived in Estevan in May 1904. William's father- John Beckel, Mother- Mary Beckel. William shown as a Mason in MN, in 1920. The Beckel Hospital at #1006 3rd st., was the First known Hospital, ca 1910, in Estevan. It was supposedly in the Beckel home at that time. So obviously they moved. ; 1921 Herbert and Ethel Mary Delbridge family lived here, locomotive Engineer.

House originally located across from old St Peters Lutheran Church, old address = 1010 2nd st., new address = 422 2nd st., Dolly Backman, nee Gesell, lived in this house before she was married in 1941.
