Reaction Ferries in BC

British Columbia, Canada

Reaction Ferries were used to cross many rivers in BC, before bridges, and or roads, were constructed to replace them.

In 2020 there are only 5 still running, Big Bar, Little Fort, Lytton, McLure and Usk.
I have no pictures of Lytton Ferry in this section

Most of the pictures in this section were taken by Elain Genser in early 1970's, donated June 2020

Operating Inland BC Government Reaction Ferries

Little Fort, crosses the Thompson River at Little Fort
Lytton crosses the Fraser river, 2.4 Km north of Lytton

Cedarvale (Not Active)
Marguerite (Not Active)
